Day 1 - Sat: Istanbul

Merhaba and welcome to magical Istanbul! You will be met by a representative , you’ll transfer you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free for you to settle in and explore the city.

Day 2 - Sun: Istanbul Old City

After enjoying breakfast, you’ll depart for your half-day guided tour of Istanbul, the world’s only transcontinental city. You’ll visit its most famous sites, including the magnificent Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, St Sophia Museum and the beautiful Topkapi Palace.
In the afternoon, you have the option of joining the Bosphorous cruise, which takes you through the narrow Bosphorous Channel that separates Asia and Europe.

Day 3 - Mon: Gallipoli Battlefields

Today you’ll visit one of Turkey’s most emotional historic sites, the Gallipoli Battlefields of WWI. You’ll see the Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine memorials, Johnston’s Jolly, ANZAC Cove, the Nek and original tunnels and trenches from the war.

Day 4 - Tues: Troy, Acropolis of Pergamum

Immerse yourself in history when we visit the famous ancient city of Troy, home to the Trojan Horse. From here, we continue on to the impressive Pergamum Acropolis, with its vast library and temples that made it a political and cultural hub in its time.

Day 5 - Wed: Ephesus, Kusadasi

Enjoy a fascinating guided tour of Ephesus and visit the Temple of Artemis. Take in the historic atmosphere of the city and its theatre before we continue to the village of Sirince, which is renowned for its locally-made fruit wines. From here, we move on to a carpet-weaving village, where you’ll discover the traditional art of hand-weaving carpets and learn how their value is determined.

Day 6 - Thurs: Kusadasi, Samos

We leave Turkey and catch a ferry to the island of Samos. Depending on the ferry schedule of the day, you may have the day to explore beautiful Samos before we continue on to Mykonos.

Day 7 - Fri: Mykonos

You have a free day to explore the picturesque white-washed town of Mykonos or relax and soak up some sun on the beach. If you prefer, you can take an optional day trip to the open-air island museum of Delos.

Day 8 - Saturday: Mykonos to Santorini

Enjoy a refreshing early morning swim in Mykonos and tour the charming winding alleyways of the town before we depart via ferry to Santorini.

Day 9 - Sun: Santorini optional boat trip

You have the option of taking a boat trip to the world’s larget volcano crater, where you can see a =n active volcano, swim in the thermal pools, and even relax in a revitalising mud bath.

Day 10 - Mon: Santorini to Athens

Spend your morning relaxing on Santorini’s famous black sand beaches before departing in the afternoon via ferry to the mainland.

Day 11 - Tues: Athens Old City

Enjoy a half-day tour of the ancient city of Athens. Visit the famous Acropolis, see the first stadium to host the modern Olympic Games and be in awe of Hadrian’s Arch and the statue of the Olympian Zeus. We then tour the Acropolis Museum, visit the Temple of Nike, the impressive entrance of the Propylaia, and finally the breath-taking Parthenon.

Day 12 - Wed: Athens

After enjoying breakfast and saying farewell to your travelling companions, the tour comes to an end and you’ll be transferred to the airport.

This itinerary is subject to change dependant on Greek ferry schedules. Although it is rare, occasionally ferry schedules are changed without notice, and sometimes a scheduled ferry departure may be cancelled due to weather conditions. If this occurs the program may need to be adjusted slightly, and at times it may mean you will spend less or more place in one location than originally planned for. This is the nature of Greek Island travel, and we thank you for your understanding in the rare event that something like this occurs.

Accommodation will be provided at the hotels stated in the programme. In the event of the hotels becoming unavailable, alternative accommodation will be sourced for clients in hotels of an equal or higher standard.
