Itinerary
Saturday – Overnight Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul city (Airport to hotel transfer included). If your flight arrives early you can join us to take a short visit to the famous Spice Bazaar at 13.00pm, thereafter we will be taking a boat trip to cruise along Bosphorous. Don’t worry if you don’t arrive early today because later in the tour you will have the opportunity to see more of Istanbul. Tonight you will stay in Istanbul.
Sunday - Overnight Cappadocia
Today your breakfast & dinner will be included. So after you have finished breakfast, we will be driving towards the capital city, Ankara. You will get to see the monumental tomb place for Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the first president of Turkish Republic. After this amazing experience we will be heading to one of Turkey’s most amazing landscapes, Cappadocia, where we will also spend the night.
Monday – Overnight Cappadocia
We have a full and exciting day ahead for you. Our first part of exploring this amazing setting is to work our way from the underground city of Cappadocia – the largest of its kind in the world dating back 5000 years! You will be visiting the key archaeological treasures of this underground settlement and pass through kilometres of tunnel passages. A short break will be taken to learn how carpets are made, a long standing tradition in Turkey. For those that wish to take part in evening entertainment, you may attend the evening entertainment (extra cost) to see Turkish folklore dancing. Breakfast and dinner will be included within this day.
Tuesday – Overnight Pamukkale
After breakfast we embark on our next adventure. We will drive along the famous Silk Road where traders once upon time used to cross to transport silk and spices from Far East. On route we will stop off at the 13th century Sultan Han, which used to be a one-stop place for camels, but later turned itself into a serving station whereby fuel, basic shops and essentials are available for those travelling between the region of Cappadocia and Konya. Our last stop will be at the museum of Whirling Devrishes in Konya itself.
Wednesday – Overnight Kusadasi
Today with visit the sacred city of Hierapolis, famous for its hot springs, founded by the god Apollo in 190BC which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will stroll over the magnificent white calcium terraces of Pamukkale, before we continue our journey to the city of Aphrodite. Today your breakfast and dinner will be included.
Thursday – Overnight Kusadasi
You will start the day with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the Temple of Artemis. In the afternoon we will enjoy the locally handcrafted leather goods before driving to Kusadasi. Breakfast and dinner included on this day.
Friday – Flight from Izmir to Istanbul
Today after your breakfast you transfer to the airport for a short flight back to Istanbul. Upon landing we will continue our tour of the amazing Istanbul City visiting iconic places such as the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. Evening is at your own leisure. Overnight will be in Istanbul, breakfast is the only meal included today.
Saturday – Time to say goodbye
The tour concludes after breakfast, you may have some free time until your transfer back to the airport.
