Welcome to Istanbul! You’ll be collected upon your arrival and transferred to you hotel. After checking in, the remained of the day is free for you to explore or relax.
Overnight in Istanbul
After breakfast, you’ll begin your guided tour of the world’s only transcontinental city, visiting its most famous sites including the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, St Sophia Museum and the magical Topkapi Palace. In the afternoon, you have the option of joining the Bosphorous cruise, which takes you through the narrow Bosphorous Channel separating Asia and Europe.

Today you’ll visit Turkey’s most emotional historic site, the battlefields of Gallipoli from WWI. Here, you’ll see original trenches and tunnels from the war, The Nek, Johnston’s Jolly, ANZAC Cove and the Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair memorials.

Take a step back in time when we visit the ancient city of Troy, home to the famous Trojan Horse. After Troy, we’ll continue to the Pargamum Acropolis, with its remarkable library and temples that made it a political and cultural centre of its time.

We spend another day immersed in fascinating history with a tour of Ephesus, where you’ll visit the extraordinary Temple of Artemis, tour the city and the famous theatre. We’ll then move on to a carpet-weaving village where you’ll learn how carpets are still traditionally hand-woven, and how each one’s value is determined.

You’ll start your morning with a browse through a collection of locally hand-made leather goods before we travel to Pamukkale. Here, you’ll be mesmerised by the Travertines; cascades of snow-white calcium terraces. We’ll then visit the ancient city of Hierapolis where you can swim in natural hot springs amongst the ancient relics that remain from the Roman era.

Today we travel south to the Mediterranean coast, and visit the impressive ruins of the ancient city of Aphrodisias, which was dedicated to the goddess of love, Aphrodite.

You have two options for how you’d like to spend your day. You can choose to either take a relaxing cruise amongst Fethiye’s 12 stunning islands, or join an exciting tour to Turkey’s deepest and longest canyon, Saklikent Gorge.

Enjoy a relaxing free morning before we drive to the resort town of Antalya in the afternoon. On the way, we’ll visit the Kayakoy, a deserted Greek village.

You’re in for a leisurely day as we visit Aspendos, the best-preserved of Asia Minor’s theatres, which is still in use today. We then continue on to the beautiful Manavgat Waterfalls, where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

We start the day early when we depart for Cappadocia, with stops en route at both Konya and the Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi Mausoleum and museum. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Anatolia’s largest Caravansary, Sultanhani.

Enjoy a guided tour the magical Goreme Valley, with its breath-taking lunar landscapes, ‘fairy chimneys’ and castle. In the evening, you have the option of joining a fun traditional folklore evening.

A day of exploration begins with a trek through the magnificent Ihlara Valley, before you discover a secret world as we tour a vast underground city.

We depart Cappadocia early and begin our travelling day that takes us past the beautiful Tekir plateau, the Karatay Caravansary and last, but definitely not least, to Kahraman Maras for the best ice-cream in Turkey, before we arrive at our destination of Kahta.

We start our day well before dawn as we travel to Mt. Nemrut, where a short ascent is rewarded with the most spectacular sunrise lighting the plateau beyond. We then visit the massive, unexplained statues scattered around the summit before returning to Kahta for a tour of the city. On our way to Sanliurfa, we stop to explore the archaeological site at Gobekli Tepe and see the fascinating excavations that are underway. Our journey then takes us south to tour the 400 year-old town of Harran and the ‘beehive’ mud houses.

After enjoying breakfast, we travel to Gaziantep to visit its famous Mosaic Museum, which houses the many stunning mosaics discovered at Zeugma. You’ll then be transferred to Gaziantep Airport to catch your flight to Istanbul.

After breakfast at the hotel, we say our goodbyes to our fellow travellers and the tour comes to an end. You’ll be transferred to the airport to begin your return journey.
