There is one easy word to describe Lara: sand. Miles and miles of beautiful, Turkish sand that stretches along the coast of an area very close to Antalya City but so large and impressive that it cannot be contained within another location.
The beach begins just east of the Duden waterfalls in Antalya and spans the azure waves all the way down towards Side. Lara beach is well known for being easily one of the best beaches on the Turkish coast, and most certainly one of the longest!
The golden sweep of Lara spans a large stretch of the coast on the Mediterranean and is home to many luxurious hotels, bars and restaurants that refuse to not entertain absolutely every guest.
Just a short 20 minute journey from Antalya airport, Lara Beach is in an ideal location for visitors whose only wish is to soak up the sun, and squeeze in a few beach activities whilst they’re there.
Lara Beach is also host to the world’s largest sandcastle event, with artists from around the world coming to create life size sculptures of whatever fits the year’s theme, and then displaying these masterpieces from throughout the latter half of the summer. Lara Beach is an absolute paradise, offering everything one would expect from the Turkish Riviera from the sun, sand and fantastic entertainment and night life as well as shops and first class hotels.
