Close to Dalaman, Dalyan, Gocek and Koycegiz, Sarigerme is the ideal base for exploration and some serious de-stressing. You’ll find it impossible to feel anything but relaxed when wandering in the village where the friendly locals will welcome you into their traditional Turkish way of life.

There are eateries serving the native cuisine and shops selling souvenirs and clothes. The town is only small and this is its appeal, as the quiet atmosphere will allow you to move between lazing on the beach and strolling in the sun, maintaining a chilled out pace of life. The most notable aspect of Sarigerme is its beach. It’s as close to perfect as you could imagine with sea that lights up a sparkling blue beneath the warm sun and soft honey coloured sand that rolls on for miles. Here you’ll be able to read, sleep, sunbathe and swim.

There is a shaded picnic area and a cafeteria, perfect for lunch breaks. The beach also offers water sports. It is especially popular with those that like to sail due to its cool breezes. The great thing is though, that if you get at all bored of sunbathing there is always a dolmus (mini bus) to be caught, there are boat rides on offer and if you fancied driving around the area you could always rent a car. There is so much to see, especially if you are willing to venture out on a few day trips.
