We meet our Maltese tour leader at the Forni-Magazino Terminal at 10:30am, to embark on the MSC Perziosa.
Day spent at sea relaxing taking in beautiful views of the coastline.
Thursday is spent in magnificent Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city. The city boasts an exceptionally rich history, visible in its multitude of cultural and architectural sites scattered throughout the dazzling, metropolitan city. Located on the Orange Blossom Coast, Valencia is the birthplace of paella, and claims to be home to the legendary Holy Grail, the chalice Jesus drank from during the last supper. With friendly residents and sites and activities to suit every traveller’s palate, Valencia is bound to enthral you.
The cosmopolitan city of Marseilles awaits travellers for their third day of the journey. France’s second-largest city after Paris, Marseilles is a rich, vibrant coastal city where old meets new and the results are a captivating combination of sun-drenched beaches, grand, historic sites, and cutting-edge creativity.
The next day of your journey takes you to historic Genoa. The ancient city on Italy’s west coast is a place of distinct contrast, with timeworn narrow streets that beg to be explored, grand halls and squares that speak of the city’s former power and splendour, and a thriving urban scene alive with art, music, cafés and boutiques. The city of Genoa is a wonderland for adventurers and those seeking R and R alike.
On Sunday, we arrive in Civitavecchia, a city just outside of Italy’s capital, Rome, where we start our journey to the ‘Eternal City’. Rome mesmerizes with its awe-inspiring ancient icons such as the Colloseum and the Pantheon, and its unrivalled artistic heritage is palpable. Masterpieces by the greats overflow from the world-famous museums into Rome’s historic centre amongst the temples, tombs, palaces and basilicas of the momentous city.
The final day of your cruise takes you to Sicily’s capital city of Palermo. The city’s tumultuous history, which saw it change hands between ruling empires several times, has given it an eclectic and intriguing culture today, visible especially in its mix of architectural styles.
After a relaxing week enjoying beautiful views, visiting several destinations unfortunately on Tuesday we disembark from the MSC Perziosa
