Itinerary

Day 1- Istanbul

Arrive in the fascinating city Istanbul. Enjoy the remianing day as you please.

Day 2- Istanbul's Old City 

Today begins with your breakfast, followed by an extensive city tour, visiting the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and stunning Topkapi Palace.

Day 3- Gallipoli Battlefields

Day 3 starts early and departs for the Gallipoli Peninsula, scene of a number of hard-fought battles that took place during World War 2. Points of interest include Johnston's Jolly, the Lone Pine, ANZAC Cove, memorials of Chanuk Bair , Gallipoli Museum and at the various trenches and tunnels that still survive to this day. Guests spend the third evening of their tour in the coastal town of Çanakkale.

Day 4- Troy and Pergamum Acropolis

Day 4 involves a visit to the remains of the city of Troy – scene of the legendary Trojan Horse infiltration. From there the tour moves on to Pergamum Acropolis and the structures that still remain, such as the Library of Pergamum and the ruins of various temples. The evening is spent in the coastal town of Kusadasi, where there’s plenty of opportunity to while away an evening.

Day 5- Ephesus & Kusadasi

Today you will enhance your history of Turkey with a tour of Ephesus, one of the wonders of the world including a theatre and Artemis Temple visit. Take in the atmosphere and move onto Sirince village known for its wines made from fruit. Turkey is famous for its carpet weaving, so there is no better place to learn how its done, and what makes a great carpet. Learn this from the experts in a local village.

Day 6- Pamukkale & Heirapolis

The tour pauses to inspect a an array of leather products all handmade locally, before moving on again to marvel over the travertine's of Pamukkale: terraced pools formed from carbonated mineral deposits. The day finishes off with a trip to Hierapolis ancient city which dates back to Roman times. Visitors are welcome to the springs where they can bathe, valued for the therapy they offer, before heading back to the coastal resort of Marmaris.

Day 7- Marmaris

The tour formally concludes after breakfast, then participants are transferred to Marmaris approximately 12:00, mid day. If you are due to travel from the airport, please feel free to add your one way transfer with us.
