Today is your first day. Upon arriving to Istanbul, you can spend the rest of the day to enjoy at your own pace.
Visit the St. Sofya, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and Topkapi Palace today with the old city tour of Istanbul.
A Visit to Turkey would not be the same without going to the capital city. Visit the famous Ataturk's Mausoleum, and see the Ataturk museum. We then make our way to Cappadocia which is an open air museum in Turkey. The valleys and stone carved homes make this a surreal experience.
The museum is all around you as we visit Goreme region of Cappadocia. You will see Uchisar castle and Pasabag. We move on to the underground city of Derinkuyu. This is your photo opportunity as you will not see anything like this anywhere else in the world. This evening you can take part in an optional Turkish folklore night with Turkish belly dancers.
We leave Cappadocia behind today as we follow south on the Silk trail. We stop at the historic and magnificent Sultanhani Caravanserai while on thhe way to Konya with it's museum for Mevlana. After this amazing day we then stop at Pamukkale where we enjoy our evening meal and relax.
While we are in Pamukkale we will of course visit the white washed calcium travertine's. Take in this amazing site and move on to Hierapolis, Necropolis and Apollo temple. Now its time to cool down, as you can swim among in the ancient roman ruins and columns, with their amazing springs. Tonight we stop at Kusadasi town where you can relax or explore the local area.
Its history lover's day today as we visit the most important sites of the region - Ephesus. See the Artemis temple, and temple on this fascinating visit. Later we will see hand crafter leather items from locals before we go back to Izmir.
Today we drive the Aegean coastline to Pergamum city where you can visit the Acropolis with its temple and ancient library. The tour continues north as we visit the ancient Troy and the Trojan horse.
After your scrumptious breakfast we will visit Gallipoli's World War 1 Battle-fields. Sites include memorials of Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine. Other spots include the actual Anzac Cove, Johnston Jolly, authentic trenches and tunnels and the museum of Gallipoli. We then head over to Istanbul to spend the night there.
