Itinerary

 

Arrival – Day 1/Monday:

Your first day will commence with your arrival to Istanbul. You will have an airport transfer to your hotel, where you will be able to enjoy this day at your own leisure. Tonight will be spent in Istanbul in a 4 star hotel.

Old Istanbul – Day 2/Tuesday:

Having re-charged your batteries after breakfast, you should now be ready to commence the tour. You will see some of the most amazing attractions world visitors come to Istanbul for, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, Archaeological Museum and the Hippodrome. Overall will see the exceptional Istanbul from a geographical eye, as this amazing city is spilt between two continents, Asia and Europe. Tonight will be spent in Istanbul in a 4 star hotel.

The Battlefields of Gallipoli – Day 3/Wednesday:

After breakfast, be sure you will no doubt embark on one of the most touching journeys you’ll make throughout this tour, visiting some of the most historic landmarks of Gallipoli. Attractions include the Battlefield and Lone Pine, Chunuk Bair Memorials, Coves of Anzac, Johnston’s Jolly and you will even see the original trenches and tunnels. Tonight will be spent in Canakkale in at 4 star hotel.

Battlefields of Gallipoli & the August Ceremony – Day 4/Thursday:

You will very much feel part of the Gallipoli history today. Not only will you attend the official August Offensive ceremony, but also visit those areas that most visitors do not get an opportunity to see such as the Suvla Bay, Hill 60 & 971, and Scrubby Knoll. Tonight will be spent in Canakkale in at 4 star hotel.

Troy, Acropolis of Pergamum – Day 5/Friday:

The home of the Trojan Horse, Troy is your next location. Alongside this you will then tour the breath-taking sites of Pergamum of which once was a legendary cultural and political centre of its time. After the tour you will travel to your next resort Kusadasi, where you will spend the night at a 4 star hotel.

Ephesus, Kusadasi – Day 6/Saturday:

Moving away from the ancient sites of Gallipoli today you will awake into a whole different world. Get ready to be captivated on entrance to the great Ephesus, an ancient Roman city located in the region Selcuk, a place also believed to be where Virgin Mary once lived. You will be guided through the city walls and see sites such as the Temple of Artemis and the famous theatre. Ephesus is Europe’s most complete metropolis, and this is even with more than 80% of the city still unearthed. You will then continue en-route to Sirince, a former Greek village – where one must sample the local made fruit wine. A trip to Turkey would not be complete without the purchase of a famous Turkish rug! Perhaps we can help you go one step further, and take you to a carpet village where you can watch carpets being made by hand and understand how they are valued. You will spend your night in Kusadasi at a 4 star hotel.

Pamukkale, Hierpolis – Day 7/Sunday:

Leather is also a popular export. The day will begin with a visit to see a local demonstration of handcrafted leather goods. Your journey will then follow on route to the white calcium terraces, otherwise known as Travertines. Your guide will also explore the thermal spas of Hierapolis with you, of which other baths, temples and other Greek monuments can also be seen at the site. You will be given some time for those that wish to take a swim in the hot springs. You will spend your night in Pamukkale at a 5 star hotel.

Bursa, Istanbul – Day 8/Monday:

With the tour approaching its end, there is just one more day to punch in some excitement. On the way back to Istanbul, you’ll pass through Bursa which is located in north-western Anatolia, within the Marmara region. It happens to be one of the top four most populated cities in Turkey. Your sites of visit will include the Green Mosque and the Silk Bazaar. Your last night will be in Istanbul at a 4 star hotel.

Departure – Day 9/Tuesday:

Time to say goodbye to friends you’ve made on the tour! You will be transferred to the airport accordingly for your onward flight.
