Day 1 - Sat: Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul! Upon your arrival, you’ll be collected and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore or relax.

Day 2 - Sun: Istanbul Old City
After breakfast, you’ll be taken on a guided tour of world’s only transcontinental city, taking in its most famous sites, including the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, St Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace.
Later in the afternoon, you have the option of taking a cruise down the Bosphorous Channel, the sliver of water that separates Asia and Europe.

Day 3 - Mon: Gallipoli Battlefields
Today you’ll visit one of Turkey’s most moving sites, the Gallipoli Battlefields from WWI. You’ll see original trenches and tunnels from the war, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly, The Nek and the memorials of Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine.

Day 4 - Tues: Troy, Acropolis of Pergamum
We’ll spend the day taking in some historical sites. Firstly, we’ll visit the ancient city of Troy, the home of the Trojan Horse. Next, we’ll visit Pergamum’s magnificent acropolis, with its remarkable library and temples that made it a political and cultural hub in its time.

Day 5- Wed: Ephesus, Kusadasi
Our historical streak continues today as we take in a tour of Ephesus and visit the site of the Temple of Artemis. We’ll explore the city and its theatre, before continuing on to Sirince, a village famous for its locally-made fruit wines. Our last stop is a traditional carpet-weaving village, where you’ll learn how carpets are still hand-woven and what determines each one’s value.

Day 6 - Thurs: Pamukkale, Hierapolis
You’ll begin the day browsing through a collection of locally-made leather goods before we make our way to Pamukkale. Here, you’ll be awestruck by the Travertines, cascades of pure-white calcium terraces that dominate the landscape. We’ll tour the city of Hierapolis and take a swim in the natural hot springs amongst ancient relics from the Roman period when they were first used for their therapeutic powers.

Day 7 - Fri: Silk Road, Konya
We’ll travel down the ancient and scenic Silk Road, with stops en route at the Sultanhani Caravansary and Konya’s Mevlana Museum. In the evening, you’ll have the option of joining a traditional Turkish folklore evening – a fun experience not to be missed!

Day 8 - Sat: Cappadocia, Goreme, Underground City
In Cappadocia, we’ll tour the open-air museum at Goreme Valley, where you’ll be mesmerized by the stunning lunar landscape, before we see the ‘fairy chimneys’ and explore a vast underground city.

Day 9- Sun: Karatay Caravansaray, Kahraman Maras
We leave Cappadocia in the morning and head out for an interesting and picturesque drive. We’ll pass the stunning Tekir Plateau, the Karatay Caravansary and stop in at Kahraman Maras for some of Turkey’s best ice-cream before we arrive at Kahta.

Day 10, Mon: Mt Nemrut, Kahta, Urfa, Harran
Our action-packed day starts early, as we set out before dawn for Mt. Nemrut. A short ascent will reward your early start with a magnificent sunrise across the plateau. We’ll then explore the summit, where a collection of massive and unexplained statues have stood for centuries, before returning to Kahta to tour the ancient city. As we make our way to Sanliurfa, we’ll visit the archaeological site at Gobekli Tepe, where you’ll be able to see the fascinating large-scale excavations that are currently underway. We then continue on to the ancient town of Harran, where you can see the famous ‘beehive’ mud houses.

Day 11 - Tues: Gaziantep, Istanbul
After enjoying breakfast, we make our way to Gaziantep, where we’ll explore the Mosaic Museum which houses the fantastic collection of mosaics discovered at Zeugma. You’ll then be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Istanbul.

Day 12 - Wed: Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel and saying goodbye to your fellow travellers, the tour comes to an end, and you’ll be transferred to the airport to begin your return journey.
