This day trip, a little outside of Istanbul, is to visit the location of the notorious Troy, known for the legends of Paris and Helen, as well as the fall of the great city at the hands of the Greeks and a wooden horse. Written about in Homer’s Illiad, Troy is a location that should be on the must see list of every Turkish traveler both for the tragic ruins and the large wooden horse that dominates the horizon.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul (Taksim or Sultanahmet area) with the usual pick up time to be anything from 06.15am to 06.45am. The alternative option is for you to meet our guide at the Sultan Hostel Hotel at 07.00am on the day.
It is important to advise us of your hotel & location when booking. The very latest we need to know would be 48 hours prior to your arrival. On tour completion we estimate to return back to Istanbul approximately 22.00pm – however please take into account any unforeseen traffic conditions.
