From there you are free explore the old town surrounded by beautiful medieval walls, churches and palaces all dotted along stunning stone streets. Indulge in the popular “Rapska Torta” cake or venture to one of the many squares adorned with street galleries. If you still have time, then venturing up to Kamejak hill to marvel at the gorgeous sunset is an absolute must.
Day 3 Monday: RAB ISLAND - ZADAR
The day starts with an early morning cruise from Rab to Zadar along the stunning Pag Island. Don’t worry, you’ll have time for a quick swim stop on the miniscule Maun Island. From there you can enjoy a professional guided tour of the city, the centre of the region. Zadar is steeped in rich history which is evident from almost every monument you lay your eyes on. Sites include the Roman forum which dates back all the way to the 1st century AD and the 9th century AD church of Donatus. There are also the countless breath-taking palaces and villas which are sure to leave you awe struck. The centre of Zadar is chock full of authentic, gorgeous restaurants. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the popular Zadar Sea Organs as well as “The Greeting To The Sun” light installation – they make for a truly unforgettable night.
Day 4 Tuesday: ZADAR - KORNATI / VODICE
You start the day by setting of for the National Park Kornati in the early morning. The park contains a total of eighty nine islands and islets – yes you read that correctly. The continental part takes up about a quarter of the parks surface, the rest belongs to the wonderful marine eco-system. Notable things to explore are the Roman villas, the ruins of the Illyrian fortress and the church of St Mary. We then venture on to spend the night in the stunning tiny Dalmation town of Vodice. Spend the evening kicking back on one of the town’s gorgeous terraces, or indulging in some fine dining at one of the town’s quaint and authentic restaurants. If you would prefer something simpler though, then we recommend taking a leisurely stroll across one of Vodice’s picturesque beaches.
Day 5 Wednesday: VODICE – KRKA WATERFALLS/PRIMOSTEN
Marvel at the stunning view of the Krka River Canyon as you cruise to the gorgeous town of Primosten. After a quick spot of lunch you can explore the awe inspiring waterfalls of the local national park. When evening arrives in this picture perfect town we recommend going local wine tasting – a very popular activity.
Day 6 Thursday: PRIMOSTEN – TROGIR
It’s time to head to Trogir, often called the floating museum town as it’s situated on a tiny island and connected to the mainland by two bridges. Trogir is a truly surreal and magical place, peppered with gorgeous historical and cultural monuments and countless little “konobas”, which are taverns and restaurants that offer an array of common Dalmatian treats. You’ll spend the night in Trogir Harbour.
Day 7 Friday: TROGIR – SPLIT
Our last stop is really close to Trogir, which means more time for sightseeing, sunbathing and swimming (our three favourites S’s). We highly recommend catching some rays in one of the bays of ?iovo peninsula. Then it’s off to Split. Split is a breathtakingly beautiful city that words just can’t do justice. It’s a UNESCO protected site due primarily to its historical importance and immense beauty. Once in Split we highly recommend taking a leisurely stroll through the old city centre. The Diocletian's palace is quite that sight, and its 1700 years old!
Day 8 Saturday: OPATIJA
After a quick breakfast it’s time to bid farewell to the crew, but hopefully it’s not goodbye for too long.
