Main Sponsors of OZEV Charity Event

Direct Traveller, the UK’s leading tour operator to North Cyprus was proud to be the main sponsors of the OZEV charity event on Friday 30th April 2010, which was aimed at raising funds for this well deserved charity in North Cyprus.OZEV is an education and rehabilitation centre and Trust where they educate people who are differently progressed between 0-35 years old in North Cyprus.Education targets include the aims of increasing own abilities to the highest level, to support Self Care abilities with Agnostic-Social-Motor-Language and Communication Abilities, integrate the children who are on the level of ready existence, support the abilities of independent living, obtain the opportunity to gain abilities towards occupation and increase independency of the person.

Working Fields include Mental Retardation, Wide spread development Defects (Otizm), Chromosome Anomalies (Down Syndrome Flails X syndrome), Learning Difficulties, DEHB (Attention Missing and Hyperactivity Defect), Cerebral Palsy and Language and Communication Defects.

Ramadan Ozdemir, Managing Director of Direct Traveller said: “Such an important charity is what drew us to becoming the main sponsors of this event. I can clearly see that helping children and adults of special needs is a very worthwhile cause and should receive more attention”.

The high profile event was promoted by Hurkans accountants who are also a leading accountancy firm in London.

The evening was hosted by Miss Turkey Banu Sagnak, who made the evening flow with her interpersonal skills. The event was full of surprises including a fantastic Fashion Show, DJ Music, A Paparazzi style red carpet, a la carte dining. One of the highlights of the events was when the famous Music group “BABUTSA” had a guest appearance singing live with their chart hitting songs.

Overall, the event was a very successful affair that made the Turkish speaking community proud, with such an important cause benefitting.
