International Spring Concerts, at the Bellapais
The Bellapais Abbey comes alive every year during this season of classical concerts, which attract musicians and music-lovers from all over the world. If you want to enjoy something different while enjoying the views of the monastery then this is highly recommended.
Güzelyurt Orange Festival
Guzelyurt which means beautiful home has been a citrus-growing region since 1977. This town has also been the venue for a festival that originally celebrated the orange harvest. It has now expanded to include concerts, competitions and art exhibitions.
North Cyprus International Music Festival, Bellapais
Bellapais is once again the stunning venue for this annual event, with performances by world-famous artistes.
Gazimagusa (Famagusta) Music Festival
Claiming to be the best music event in the Mediterranean, the festival hosts world music ensembles and folk musicians from all five continents.
Nicosia Festival of Drama
Open-air performances and events in historic venues are the keynote of Northern Nicosia’s annual festival of theatre and dance.
Kyrenia Olive Festival
Costumed dancers, traditional musicians, and of course what Cypriots do the best lots of eating and drinking helps celebrate the olive harvest. This event is held in and around the floodlit Kyrenia Castle which makes the experience even better.
Mehmetcik Grape FestivalMehmetcik is the heart of northern Cyprus’s vine-growing region, the farming village marks another a wine-producing season with music, dancing and, of course, wine.
Iskele Traditional FestivalVillage costumes and traditional Turkish musical instruments are brought out to celebrate one of Northern Cyprus’s most venerable feasts.
Lapta Lemon Festival
The lemon-growing village of Lapta throws a lively annual party in honour of the yellow citrus fruit that has been emblematic of Cyprus for centuries
Seker Bayrami also known as the Sugar Festival
This is when families and friends get together to mark the end of the Muslim religion’s annual Ramadan fast. At this time everyone makes up for a month of abstinence of food by eating like kings and queens.
