July saw the North Cyprus Tourism Centre conduct an unprecedented level of promotional activity throughout the UK. From posters on Manchester train stations and Birmingham trains, to London buses and the underground, North Cyprus has been visible everywhere.At the same time, the national press advertising campaign was enhanced with a week-long promotion in Metro newspapers. Distributed free in 16 cities throughout the UK and Scotland, the Metro has a combined national circulation in excess of 2 million. The campaign began on Monday 25th July with a page advertorial about holidays in North Cyprus. A competition ran all week for four holidays donated by North Cyprus tour operators  – Direct Traveller and other tour operators. There were more than 6000 entries, showing a high level of interest in the destination and boosting visitors to the North Cyprus Tourism Centre website  www.simplynorthcyprus.com.

The outdoor advertising campaign will continue into August. North Cyprus Tourism Co-ordinator, Kadir Doruhan said ‘We are delighted with the response to our campaign so far and are looking forward to continuing to promote North Cyprus through our late summer and autumn holiday campaign.’

The North Cyprus  promotional campaign is being run by Turkey and North Cyprus specialist, Ocean Advertising Ltd. part of Wave Media Partners.
